HOPIUM
**You don't lose to the market. You lose to yourself.**
You get 60 trading days, three companies you know nothing about, and a character named Mika who does the clicking. Buy, sell, short, read the news, dig into the filings. Standard stuff.
The catch is **nerve**. It drains while a position is open — the more money in the market, the faster. A long is the calmest. A short of the same size costs more. Mixing both sits in between. At zero, Mika stops listening and starts trading on her own. You won't like what she does.
There is a money toad on her desk. You can stroke it for luck. Mika believes in it completely.
**At the end the game tells you what was actually driving you** — not whether you made money, but what you were doing while you made it. How long you held winners versus losers. How often you bought after a green day. Whether you doubled down underwater. And exactly how much the toad affected the outcome.

What's in it
- One run is 60 days, about 20 minutes
- Seven difficulty steps, each unlocked by clearing the one before
- 25 achievements, most of them about behaviour rather than skill
- Five languages: English, Russian, Spanish, Portuguese, 简体中文
- Runs in the browser, no install, saves between runs
- Adaptive soundtrack that follows your nerve — and a heartbeat when it runs out
Honest about what this is
This is a *prototype*, and it is free. One character instead of the planned 5.
Soundeffects are still placeholder beeps.
The translations are drafts that no native speaker has read yet.
What does work is the whole loop: 60 days, the debrief, the next attempt.
*If you play it, tell me how it went.* There's a link on the debrief screen from the second run onward — it opens a short form with your run's numbers already filled in. One question, answering is optional. That feedback is the entire reason this build exists.
